All writers should have a contest with themselves. It helps the work flow quickly.
Keep a chart of your daily writing progress. Try to beat or match your totals every day.
How many words you wrote that day.
How many pages you added to the manuscript.
Total word and page count for the day.
I love having a contest with myself. I also post my progress on Facebook so my fans and friends can cheer me on.
Book your editing project now
We’re at the start of a new year, and you may have been working on a project through the holidays.
Now’s the time to book editing projects. Send me an email with these details so I will be prepared when we talk:
Synopsis of your book project
Number of words
Number of pages
The first chapter
Your phone number
Your time zone (I’m EST)
I’ll be able to provide a quote and let you know how much time I will need to edit your project. Also, if you know you will have another project within a few months from now, you can book an approximate date and we can wiggle the timeframe until your project is complete.
Remember, I edit fiction (all genres), nonfiction, websites, manuals, white papers — if it has words, I can edit it with one exception: poetry — this is not my expertise and I would be doing you a disservice to offer to edit a poem.
Calling all helpers!
Would you be willing to do me a huge favor?
I have compiled a list of all my books, including the ISBN numbers.
If you are able to lend a hand and approach your library and/or bookstore, please email me and I will send you a PDF of the list.
You can print the list or email it to your librarian or bookstore acquisitions person.
